Greek dairy companies hold 500 meetings with foreign buyers to promote exports

Enterprise Greece’s 4th business meeting programme for exporters in the dairy sector held in Athens (June 10) and Larissa (June 12) resulted in a total of 500 meetings, they said on Thursday.

Forty Greek companies met with 21 buyers of distribution and retail networks from the USA, Canada, S. Korea, China, UAE, Egypt, Poland, Hungary, Germany and the UK, laying the foundations for commercial agreements in the future.

The business meetings were held with the support of the local bureaus of Economic and Trade Affairs of the Greek Embassies.

The Greek export agency’a 4th programme is part of a strategic business plan to promote farming and the food sector initiated in 2016. It foresees, among others, promoting business meetings with buyers from abroad and business missions to targeted markets.

These initiatives resulted in promoting Greek products abroad and establishing Greece as a country of high-quality products, something also reflected in the record increase of exports, Enterprise Greece said.
