Greek police launches “Stay safe in the city of Athens” campaign

The Greek police have launched “Stay safe in the city of Athens” awareness campaign for tourists visiting the Greek capital.

More specifically, it has set a pavilion at the Acropolis archaeological site providing foreign visitors with information for a safe stay in Athens. They also distribute English-language pamphlets with useful information and safe destinations.

“This action does not only concern Athens but also the airports and other tourism destinations of the country. Greece remains a safe country that tourists can visit,” the general secretary of Public Order Dimitris Anagnostakis said.

On his part, the head of Greek Police, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Tsouvalas, said that Athens is a beautiful and safe city. “The Greek police guarantees safety and this is what we are communicating today,” he added.
