Katrougalos: Αfter Prespes Agreement, Greece’s international position has been upgraded

Greece has not only been established as a stable democracy, but also as a state that exports stability, Foreign Minister George Katrougalos said on Tuesday in an interview with the German magazine “Der Spiegel”.

He stressed that after the Prespes Agreement, Greece’s international position has been upgraded, while the country has more diplomatic capital than ever.

He also explained that the goal now is to build a strategic partnership not only with North Macedonia but with the wider region. On the Prespes Agreement, he said that it is a pioneering agreement, “for which I believe the Nobel Peace Prize would be an appropriate acknowledgment.”
