1,382 new coronavirus infections on Tuesday; 102 deaths, intubations at 579

Greece ‘s health authorities announced on Tuesday 1,382 new coronavirus cases and 102 more deaths in the past 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-19 patients is 579.

Death toll has reached 3,194 and the total cases stand at 118,045.

According to the official daily bulletin on Tuesday, 5022(4.3%) of the total coronavirus cases are related to travel abroad and 32079 (27.2%) are related to already known infection case.

The remaining infections are without known source.

52.7% of the infected are men.

The number of intubated patients in ICUs stands at 579 from 600 a day earlier. Their average age is 65, among them are 167 women. 75.5% have underlying health problems or are aged over 70.

680 people have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.

Another 102 deaths in the last 24 hours increased death toll to 3194. Of the deceased 1268 were women. The average age of the deceased was 79 and 96.2% of the deceased had an underlying condition or/and was over 70 years old.
