Greece has confirmed 170 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours and no deaths, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said on Monday.
Of the total, 8,819 EODY said, 1,886 are linked to travel abroad and 4,009 to an already registered case.
Thirty-one Greeks are intubated. Their median age is 66 and 9 of them are women, while 38.7 pct have an underlying condition or are aged 70 and above. A total of 143 patients have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic broke out in Greece.
Fatalities so far total 242. The median age of the deceased was 77 and 94.6 pct of them had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or more. Eighty-four were women.
Of the 170, 27 were identified at entry points to Greece and 134 were infected domestically. Attica had 51 cases, Thessaloniki region 18 and Kozani 15, authorities said.
