There are another 262 new coronavirus infections confirmed in Greece on Wednesday, the National Public Health Organization said, and 22 of these were identified at entry points to the country.
All infections since the pandemic broke out in the country total 6,177. Of these, 1,528 are related to travel abroad and 3,002 with already known cases.
Twenty-four are in ICUs, and their median age is 63 years old. Eight of them are women, and 54.2 pct of all have an underlying condition or are aged 70 and over.
A total of 132 people have been discharged from ICUs since the outbreak began.
There are 2 more deaths on Wednesday, bringing the fatality count to 216. Of these, 73 were women and the median age of all 216 was 76. Of the deceased, 95.8 pct had an underlying cause and/or were aged 70 and above.
