Fourty four refugees were arrested on Wednesday on the island of Kastellorizo for entering the country illegally.
The refugees, 17 from Afghanistan (among them 7 children), 21 from Syria (among them 5 children), 5 from Palestine and one Iraqi national, had left from the opposite Turkish coasts.
