Four hundred and eighty two buildings in Lesvos out of 854 inspected so far been declared uninhabitable by teams of civil engineers from the Infrastructure ministry who are visiting villages to record the damages caused by Monday’s strong earthquake that resulted in one dead and several injured.

The crews have given the “green light” to 372 buildings. Breaking down the numbers, 755 of the inspections concern houses, of which 339 were declared habitable and 416 uninhabitable. The rest concern business venues, churches, warehouses and other buildings. The crews are continuing their inspections.
