The National German Pavilion at the 85th Thessaloniki International Fair 2020, which opens on September 5 with Germany as the honored country, will feature some 56 companies and German market agencies, the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce announced on Tuesday.
The list of exhibitors includes German groups and their subsidiaries in Greece, production and trade institutions, Greek-German cooperation partners, German ministries and public bodies, as well as design, research and educational organizations.
Companies will represent the sectors of aviation, aerospace, the automotive and pharmaceutical industries, courier and logistics, nanotechnology, agri-food, electrical and electronics, IT and software, the energy market and waste management.
The Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce will also set up its own group pavilion titled ‘Greece meets Germany’, giving an opportunity to Greek companies with substantial export activity to Germany to promote their business to the more than 100,000 visitors expected to be welcomed at this year’s TIF.
“We are convinced that the decision to insist on this participation is correct,” said German Ambassador to Greece Ernst Reichel, “as Germany and Greece will, at TIF, signal the kickstart of the economic recovery after the prohibitive period of the coronavirus.”
