60,000 runners registered for Athens Authentic Marathon race on Nov. 10

A total of 60,000 runners from Greece and abroad have registered so far for the 37th Athens Authentic Marathon on November 10, organizers said at a press conference on Thursday.

In the presence of Deputy Sports Minister Lefteris Avgenakis, the Attica region director, mayors and sports representatives, organizers said that this year the marathon will also include a 10-km race on Saturday, November 9.

Last year’s (2018) registered runners totalled 55,000. The race starts at Marathon and concludes at the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, a course of 42 kilometers.
