The prospects for Greek-American cooperation were the main focus of a meeting between Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias and U.S. Ambassador in Athens Geoffrey Pyatt on Friday.

They also discussed the situation in the surrounding region and the latest developments in the Cyprus issue.

Earlier, the continuing cooperation between Greece and Germany, the state of the Greek economy and the recent regional developments were at the center of the phone call between Kotzias and the Vice-Chancellor and new Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel.
