“It is not a conflict between New Democracy and SYRIZA. It is something deeper. It concerns the undermining of the main institutions of democracy,” Development and Investment Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Sunday in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) referring to the Novartis case.
“It is our duty to protect and restore the truth,” he underlined.
He also said that former prime ministers cannot be liable to penal procedures but only in cases when there is indisputable evidence.
Regarding privatisations, he said that from the first day of governance, the prime minister has given clear instructions to speed up privatisations based on transparency and the public interest.
On the development law, Georgiadis said that it will totally change the establishment of new companies and the implementation of strategic investments in Greece. “This bill will make Greece a business-friendly country for investment,” he stressed.
