A total of 408 migrants and refugees arrived on the island of Lesvos last Friday.
According to the North Aegean police, 2,292 migrants and refugees arrived between last Monday and Friday noon on Lesvos, Chios and Samos.
Taking into account the conditions that currently exist at the Moria hotspot on Lesvos, the director informed the prosecutor that he can’t accept any more newcomers as there is no more room to register and house them. A similar condition prevails at the temporary first reception centre in the area of Skala Sykamnias.
A meeting with the participation of all the local agencies involved will be held to discuss the issue on Monday morning.
