It is worth noting that 2022 marks 50 years of the group’s presence in Greece. The Group’s European leadership team visited the group’s production facilities in Corinth to honor the event and, on the occasion, organized a meeting of executives to review the top priorities and identify important initiatives to achieve the next goals in the direction of functional excellence.
The visit comes after a successful financial year for Landis + Gyr. Landis + Gyr was also recognized as the Advanced Measuring Infrastructure (AMI) company of the year for 2022 by Frost & Sullivan for creating significant value and technological innovations in the industry. Following the announcement of the company’s goal of achieving a neutral environmental footprint by 2030, Landis + Gyr in fiscal year 2021 avoided carbon dioxide emissions in excess of nine million tons, while joining the Science Based Target (SBTi) initiative for further reduction of emissions.
Landis + Gyr has been operating in Greece since 1972 and today has more than 550 employees in Corinth. After further investment in recent years, the state-of-the-art facility has more than 30 automated production lines for the production of smart electricity and gas meters and has an annual production capacity of more than six million meters. Adhering to the highest levels of safety in design and construction, the installation meets the latest ISO standards in quality management, environmental management, occupational health and safety and information security.
