The government reshuffle responds to the citizens’ request ‘we trust you but you must become better, move faster’ while sending the message of a dynamic restart, government officials stated after the reshuffle announced on Friday by government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis.

Thus, the position of Deputy Interior Minister is abolished.

Kostis Hatzidakis continues his work at the Ministry of Finance. While the position of Haris Theoharis is taken over by Christos Dimas.
Takis Theodorikakos has been replaced by Kostas Skrekas, who until today fought the battle against high prices in the Ministry of Development. In a move that shows that the government puts emphasis on the issues of everyday life of the citizens.

There were also changes in the Ministry of Rural Development, where Kostas Tsiaras takes over as minister and Christos Kellas as deputy minister. Two members of the ND who come from Thessaly.
Nikos Panagiotopoulos, who comes from the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, is placed in the place of Dimitris Kairides in the Migration Ministry while for the positions of deputy ministers. while new persons are also appointed such as Iasonas Fotilas in Culture, Kostas Karagounis in Labour, Christos Kellas in Rural Development and Kostas Gioulekas in Macedonia-Thrace.
