Entrance to the stadiums will be allowed exclusively with the digital ticket through the Gov.gr Wallet as of Wednesday, July 24, while from September 16, 2024, the same procedure will be followed by the fans of the Basket League.
As the Minister of Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou, pointed out “as of today, Greek sports fans will enter the stadiums to watch the matches of their favorite teams exclusively with their ticket in their digital wallet. Identification is done in the most modern and secure way. Gov.gr Wallet is the technological tool that makes the everyday life of citizens more friendly and simple in this area as well. From the beginning, the government showed its determination to make the stadiums safe places. We collaborated with the Alternate Minister of Sports Yannis Vroutsis to contribute as the Ministry of Digital Governance to an important reform in the field of Greek sports. Technology is our ally and we will continue to work to improve the daily life of citizens in a more efficient and digital state.”
