Ports of Souda and Stylida to receive upgrades through Greek Recovery Fund

Projects for modernizing the ports of Souda and Stylida have been included in the Greek Recovery and Resilience Fund, according to decisions by Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis.

Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy is responsible for both projects and will provide the funding. The projects are as follows:

Souda passenger terminal

This project involves building a new passenger terminal at Souda Port in Chania, Crete. The terminal will feature service areas for cruise ship passengers, administrative buildings and Schengen control zones. The total budget for this project is 12,417,523 euros.

Dredging at Stylida Port

This project focuses on dredging the port basin and navigation channel at Stylida Port in Fthiotida to restore navigational depths. The total budget for this project is 10,000,000 euros.
