A partnership between Hellenic Train and Damco Energy for the Thriasio Pedio Freight Railway Station and Sorting Station (Thriasio II) was approved by the Hellenic Competition Commission under terms and conditions, it was announced on Wednesday.
The joint company will assume the operation, maintenance, development, completion of reports, construction, and equipment supply for the Freight and Sorting Station.
Included in the obligations are issues of access without discrimination, observation of rules regardless of affiliation, and time issues, among others. The conditions will be in effect for six years from the day Thriasio II begins operation and include the interim stage before full operation. The Competition Commission will appoint an individual for inspections who will file quarterly reports to the Commission.
