The European Union has prolonged sanctions against individuals linked to Turkey’s oil industry until November 30, 2025.
These measures, initiated in 2019, were a response to Turkey’s unauthorized drilling activities in the Eastern Mediterranean, specifically within Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone.
The sanctions include travel bans to EU member-states for two executives of the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) and related individuals. Additionally, their financial assets within EU jurisdictions remain frozen.
