Greek exports rose to 3.09 billion euros in March, against €2.92 billion in the same month last year, marking a 5.8% rise despite the global turmoil, the honorary president of the Panhellenic Exporters’ Association, Christina Sakellaridi, said on Monday.
“In an unprecedented environment of disorder, wars (Ukraine, Gaza), the collapse of authoritarian regimes (Syria), high prices in energy, raw materials, and inflation, not only did our exports not fall, but they rose. This is, truly, a small feat and proves that our products, with their quality and competitive prices, have earned a firm foothold abroad. Let us hope they will also remain unscathed from the latest turmoil,” said the head of Greek exporters.
