Greek company Celestyal Cruises signed a three-year agreement with the Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).
According to the agreement, Celestyal Cruises will return to the region with two ships in December 2025, visiting Abu Dhabi three times a week during the winter period, until March 2026.
In 2024, Celestyal inaugurated a seven-day cruise ‘Desert Days’ with the ship ‘Celestyal Journey’ (1,260 passengers capacity), which carried out round-trip cruises from Doha to Bahrain, Dubai, Khasab, Sir Bani Yas island and Abu Dhabi. This successful and inaugural season lasted from November 2024 to March 2025 and will continue for at least three more seasons.
Recently renovated ‘Celestyal Discover’ (1,360 passengers capacity) will meet the corresponding ship of the fleet in the region, starting at Abu Dhabi as of December 12, 2025, and carry out three-, four-, and seven-overnight cruises, ‘Images of Arabia’.
Lee Haslett, Celestyal’s chief commercial officer, said the company was grateful for the support of DCT Abu Dhabi in achieving this cooperation. Abu Dhabi is a varied and amazing destination, he added, and Celestyal is excited that it will both establish a home port there, and included three weekly approaches to the city during the entire winter season for the next three years.
