Greek producer’s price index in the industrial sector, a composite index measuring both the domestic and external markets, fell 4.0 pct in August this year compared with the same month in 2015, after a 9.9 pct decline recorded in the 2015/2014 period, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Friday.
The statistics service, in a report, attributed this development to a 4.1 pct decline in the domestic market index and a 3.9 pct fall in the external market index.
The composite producer’s price index was down 0.2 pct in August from July, after a 3.7 pct decline recorded in the same period last year.
