ADEDY declares 24h strike on May 30

The civil servants union federation ADEDY on Thursday declared a 24-hour strike on May 30.

In an announcement, the Federation said that the strike will be held in protest against the policies implemented by the SYRIZA-ANEL coalition government and that a bloc of trade unions and employer associations have decided to declare a day of nationwide action on May 30 – including a general strike – against austerity, unemployment and overtaxation under the slogan “Enough, an end to workers’ sacrifices.”
