The 27th Agrotica on Thursday opens its doors to visitors at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition centre. Agriculture Minister Vangelis Apostolou will officially inaugurate the trade fair at 19:30.
The exhibitors will be housed in over 39,000 sq. metres, or 15 percent more space than in the last exhibition, while the number of exhibitors has increased by 30 percent in comparison with 2016 (1,950 exhibitors from 45 countries).
Businesses representing the entire range of agricultural production and technology in Greece will be present at the exhibition, as well as all the major companies involved in trading and supplying farm equipment, machinery and supplies – including the largest companies of tractors.
A number of associations, organisations and agencies are also participating, including the Agriculture Development and Food Ministry, and the two exhibition sponsors, the Association of Manufacturers of Agricultural Machinery of Greece and the Association of Importers and Dealerships of Farming Machinery.
According to the organisers, they expect a large number of visitors from all over Greece and abroad at this year’s Agrotica, along with many trade delegations from the Balkans and Southeastern Europe. Moreover, 500 hosted buyers from 20 countries have been invited.
Agrotica will run until February 4.
