Italian actor-playwright, comedian, Dario Fo, who passed away at the age of 90 on Thursday, and singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature, have become sources of inspiration for different generations and social classes, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Thursday in a message on Twitter.
“Dario Fo, who left us today, and Bob Dylan, who won the Nobel prize for Literature, are the most characteristic types of artists who managed to become a source of inspiration for different generations, social classes, beyond borders, religions and exclusions,” Tsipras said.
“They gave all of us the strength to believe in Man and his ability to change his life, a constant call to action. These are the elements of civilization that have inspired the Left’s political action through time. We’re grateful to both,” he added.
