Alt FM Varvitsiotis meets with French counterpart in Paris

Alternate Foreign Affairs Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis discussed several key issues with French Deputy Foreign Minister for European Affairs Clement Beaune, in a meeting the two held at the Quai d’Orsay, the Ministry for Europe & Foreign Affairs in Paris on Tuesday.

According to a statement by the Greek minister, EU coordination against Covid-19 and Greece’s proposal for the European vaccination certificate were among the issues discussed, as was preparatory work for the upcoming European Council meeting on March 25 and EU-Turkey relations. The migration crisis, the EU Recovery Fund and defense collaborations were reportedly also in the talks agenda.

Varvitsiotis also received at the Greek embassy in Paris with French MPs of the Greek-French Friendship Groups in the French National Assembly and Senate, thanking them for their stance on critical foreign affairs and European issues.
