Anarchist group assumes responsibility for burning diplomatic car in Thessaloniki

The self-styled “Anarchists for the dissemination of real solidarity” assumed responsibility on Friday for setting on fire a car with diplomatic plates early in the day at Faliro, a section of Thessaloniki.

In a post to an anti-establishment site, the group said it was “the least possible act of solidarity” for Constantine Giagtzoglou, 29, held in connection with a parcel bomb that injured former prime minister Lucas Papademos. The group also asked that he be transferred back to the Korydallos prison in the greater Piraeus area, from Larissa.
