Antonopoulou should return the money with interest, ND spokesperson Spyraki says

Commenting on revelations that Alternate Labour Minister Rania Antonopoulou had been receiving a rent subsidy as a minister without an Athens residence, main opposition New Democracy spokesperson Maria Spyraki on Monday suggested that the minister should return the money.

“Ms Antonopoulou asked for and received 1,000 euros a month in rent subsidies as a resident of New York. The least she can do is to return the money with interest and apologise,” Spyraki said and added: “We could ask for her resignation, but this government is not in the habit of doing this, even when there are serious reasons.”
