Archaeological body postpones until Tuesday decision on Hellinikon

The Central Archaeological Council (KAS) postponed for the second time on Wednesday (Oct. 3) its decision on whether to approve the development plan and environmental impact study of the large investment at the old airport in Hellinikon, in order to discuss it along with the issue of whether to declare a significant section of the site of archaeological interest.

The postponement was agreed by the majority of the Council’s members after a recommendation of the Culture Ministry’s general secretary Maria Andreadaki-Vlazaki. The discussion will be held next Tuesday (Oct. 3).
