Arrest warrants for Turkish nationals in connection with “Noor1” drug case

A Piraeus investigative magistrate issued on Tuesday arrest warrants for two Turkish nationals, who are allegedly involved in organizing and funding the transport of two tons of heroin found on the “Noor1” tanker in 2014, sources said.

The two individuals were named by convicted businessman Efthimis Giannousakis, who is serving time for crimes related to the case. One of those charged owns a restaurant chain in Britain.

According to the sources, the two Turks are said to have met in Istanbul with Giannousakis, who secretly videotaped them.
