Athens to turn off lights at city hall, Lycabettus Hill on Saturday for ‘Earth Hour’

Athens city hall, Lycabettus Hill and two more buildings housing municipality services will turn off their lights for an hour on Saturday night, as part of the city’s participation in “Earth Hour”.

In its message, the city of Athens encourages all Athenians to participate in the symbolic initiative and turn off the lights in their house for one hour, between 20:30 to 21:30, to send their own message for the need to protect the planet from global warming.
