“Today, we are faced with the challenge of a new regime change,” with a change in the model of production, with the re-establishment of the economic rights of the working and middle classes, with the reconstruction of the welfare state, with profound changes in the structure and operation of the political system,” State Minister Christoforos Vernardakis said on Monday in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA).
Vernadakis made the above statement a day before the anniversary of the restoration of the democracy. Moreover, he stated that the major conquests, especially in the 1980s, were undermined during the period of so-called “modernisation” and later, of course, at the time of the memorandums.
The state minister underlined that August 20 marks the return to normality.
Asked about the Constitutional Revision, he estimated that it will take place at the beginning of the new parliamentary period.
