The interest rate spread between bank loan and deposit rates grew to 4.43 percentage points in July, from 4.27 pct in June, the Bank of Greece said in a report.
The central bank said that the average interest rate on new loans grew 17 basis points to 4.73 pct in July, while the average rate on new deposits was almost unchange at 0.30 pct in the month.
The average rate on consumer loans without a defined maturity was unchanged at 14.36 pct, while the average rate on consumer loans with specific duration and floating rate rose 43 basis points to 8.49 pct.
The average interest rate on corporate loans without a defined maturity fell four basis points to 5.45 pct, while the average rate on corporate loans with specific duration and floating rate grew 48 basis points to 4.34 pct in July.
The average interest rate on mortgate loans with floating rate fell 13 basis points to 2.65 pct.
