Bodies of man and woman, possibly migrants, found in an abandoned village

Two bodies have been found in an advanced state of decay inside a building in the abandoned village Potamos, in the municipality of Alexandroupolis.

According to Athens-Macedonian News Agency sources, the bodies are those of a man and a woman aged 35 to 40, possibly migrants, while there is evidence that they were victims of foul play.

Inside the building, which is used for events organised by a cultural association one to three times a year, police found evidence of a struggle while no documents or personal effects belonging to the two dead bodies were found at the scene.

A post mortem to be held on Monday is expected to reveal the exact cause of their death.
