Building materials’ price index up 0.9 pct in March

Building materials’ prices grew 0.9 pct in March this year compared with the corresponding month in 2017, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Wednesday.

The statistics service, in a monthly report, attributed this development to price increases in iron pipes (6.2 pct), diesel oil (4.5 pct), steel pipes (3.2 pct), parkets (0.9 pct), while on the other hand prices fell in electricity (2.1 pct), marble powder (1.4 pct), plastic pipes (1.0 pct) and cement (0.5 pct).

The building materials’ price index was unchanged in March from February 2018.
