SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance slammed Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for what the party called his “pre-announcement of a lockdown extension by two weeks”, in a statement released Monday.
The main opposition party was referring to a Monday video conference participated by Prime Minister Mitsotakis, concerning the donation of 18 mobile ICUs to the public sector from the Committee “Greece 2021”, during which he said that “we need to make one more effort, especially during these two weeks, so that we can return to a regular operation of economy and of education”.
“We would like to let Mr. Mitsotakis know -who pre-announced the lockdown’s extension, and asked of all of us to ‘make an effort’ for another two weeks- that citizens have been making an effort in great sacrifice for an entire year”, said the party.
“He is the only one -alongside his government- who doesn’t make an effort and is care-free, having locked down the country over the last four months”, said SYRIZA.
The Prime Minister is “care-free about the need to have coronavirus diagnostic tests prescribed by doctors, about overcrowding in public transportation, about large work spaces and schools”.
