Celestyal Cruises monitoring the continuing effects of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on the market, reviewed the short-term outlook for projected demand and the corresponding activity of its fleet. In this context and after examining and studying all the parameters, the company proceeded to the sale of the cruise ship Experience, continuing to operate normally with the same number of cruise ships at its disposal before the pandemic.
This decision provides the company with enhanced liquidity, which in combination with zero debt to third parties create a stable financial background that ensures the successful restart of its cruises in March 2022.
Celestyal Cruises will continue to operate with its two popular cruise ships, Celestyal Crystal and Celestyal Olympia, in which significant investments have been made in recent years. These investments contributed on the one hand to the improvement of the passenger experience and on the other hand to the full alignment with the Company’s vision. The redefinition of her company’s fleet development strategy allows it to focus on regaining a new dynamic, similar to what it had before the pandemic, while at the same time it will continue to explore opportunities to renew its fleet when the time is right.
Passengers who have already made reservations for the Experience cruises will be notified by Celestyal Cruises. Scheduled cruises will be performed on the Celestyal Crystal cruise ship.
