Centrists Union leader Leventis: The lenders want ecumenical government in Greece

“The second review will not conclude and if it concludes the measures requested by the IMF will be pending,” stated Centrists Union leader Vassilis Leventis to “Parapolitika” radio on Wednesday.

Leventis forecast political developments noting that “if the agreement does not close, then probably the government will be led to early elections”.

The Centrists Union leader reiterated that the danger of “Grexit is always here” but explained that “the German government supports Greece’s stay in the EU and that Germany’s wish is the Greek programme to succeed”.

Referring to the investigating committee on the loans granted to political parties and media, Leventis said they are “not serious procedures”.

Finally, he estimated that “the lenders do not want elections but an ecumenical government in Greece”.
