Chania mayor Tasos Vamvoukas welcomed German ambassador Jens Plotner at his office on Wednesday to discuss the municipality’s plans for developing infrastructure, sustainable mobility and rebuilding the municipal market.
Vamvoukas also raised the municipality’s lack of resources. Plotner said Crete is an important tourist destination for Germans and hailed the good relations between the two peoples.
After the meeting, the mayo offered the ambassador a history album on Eleftherios Venizelos. Plotner was accompanied by Germany’s Honorary Consul in Chania, Argyro Ganadaki.
