Coca Cola Hellenic Bottling Company said its first quarter revenue grew 4.5 pct to 1.377 billion euros, from 1.317 billion in the same period in 2016, while net revenue was up 5.2 pct and the volume of sales grew 0.7 pct on a neutral currency basis.
The volume of sales in developed markets eased 2.2 pct, in developing markets the volume of sales eased 3.6 pct and in emerging markets the volume of sales grew 4.0 pct in the January-March period. Net revenue from sales per box on a neutral currency basis rose 4.5 pct.
Dimitris Lois, CEO in Coca Cola HBC, commenting on the results said the company achieved a significant increase in revenue in the first quarter, strong dynamism in price level and mixture and an improvement in volume of sales. “We are satisfied with subject trends in our activity, as our commercial initiatives begin offering positive results raising our confidence for the remaining of the year,” Lois said.
