Commission rep in Greece says things are looking up for country in farewell dinner

The European Commission’s representative in Greece, Panos Karvounis, said things are improving for Greece in a farewell dinner to journalists in Athens on Monday.

Karvounis said he lived through the entire crisis during his tenure at the EC office, describing it as “the most difficult but also the most interesting period in my life.”

He also thanked Greek journalists for their contribution in promoting the image of the European Commission during the most difficult times, when Greece believed it was being attacked by the EU.
