The issue of home-grown radicalisation is one of the most important challenges facing the EU and tops the agenda of the Council of Ministers for Justice and Home Affairs, with the participation of EU Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos.
The Commissioner sent the message that there are no more excuses in the issue of relocation. “By the end of September, all member states should have responded,” he said.
According to the Commissioner, the EU needs to work on specific pillars:
1) Our doors should be open for those in need of international protection,
2) The return of those who have no right to remain,
3) The strengthening of our external borders,
4) cooperation with third countries.
