Coming out of the meeting, Dourou said that “at these times, with the respect of the memory of our fellow citizens, we do not simply have our thoughts with them but are moving ahead with serious actions and initiatives.” She went on to add that “with a sense of duty, all of the ministers, mayors and officials are moving ahead with seriousness and a sense of responsibility.”

Asked whether there will be a different action plan for the region, Dourou replied yes, adding that “we have an obligation never to walk down the same roads we do every summer with the fires and in the winter with the floods.”
