Cultural heritage can be Greece’s lever for prosperity and growth, Koniordou says

“Our culture can be a lever for sustainable growth and the country’s prosperity,” Culture Minister Lydia Koniordou said on Sunday, concluding a tour of archaeological sites and monuments in the Epirus region in northwestern Greece.

Visiting the Arta Archaeological Museum, Koniordou said the country’s cultural heritage was a comparative advantage that must be supported and that those “distributing money must be persuaded that culture must be supported.”

She was accompanied on her visit to the area by Administrative Reconstruction Minister Olga Gerovassili.
