Cyprus issues two Navtex covering parts of Block 3 and 13 of its EEZ

Cyprus has issued two Navtex reserving an area covering roughly 600 square kilometers for exercises with real ammunition on Thursday, at the request of UNIFIL and the Russian government, Cypriot spokesperson Nikos Christodoulides told RIK TV channel on Wednesday.

The area includes parts north and south of Blocks 3 and 13 of Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone (EEZ) that adjoins the area Turkey has reserved for exercises until February 22 and which it cited to interrupt the drilling by Italy’s ENI.
