Cyprus President Anastasiades and spouse arrive in Athens for March 25 events

Cyprus Republic President Nicos Anastasiades and his spouse Andri landed at the Athens International Airport ‘Eleftherios Venizelos” shortly before 19:30.

They are in Greece to participate in bicentennial celebrations for the Greek Revolution (1821), and were met at the airport by Education Minister Niki Kerameus and a guard of honor.

Anastasiades is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at Maximos Mansion at 11:45 on Wednesday, after which they will make joint statements, and with President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou and her partner Pavlos Kotsonis at 12:30. In the afternoon they are attending events at the newly reopened National Gallery of Art and at 20:30 they will attend a state dinner at the Presidential Mansion.

They will participate in events on Independence Day, March 25, and depart Athens on Friday evening, at 20:30.
