D. Koutsoumbas: The conclusion of the 2nd review will mean the permanency of the labour “jungle”

The conclusion of the second review will mean the permanency of the labour “jungle” and that the harsh core of the anti-labour regime formed by the PASOK and New Democracy governments will remain, Communist Party of Greece (KKE) General Secretary Dimitris Koutsoumbas said on Sunday in Iraklio, Crete.

Koutsoumbas criticised the government, saying that it would be unable to extract an agreement for debt relief without also agreeing to additional austerity measures and sacrifices. He also noted that the new programme “will be a fourth memorandum, whatever they choose to call it and even if the government denies this.”

He said slammed the government as essentially bourgeois “with a leftist facade” and said it was seeking to “breathe life back into a rotten system that offers the working class nothing but unemployment, poverty, crises and wars
