Deputy Foreign Minister Yiannis Amanatidis expressed optimism on Friday in statements to Star TV that the programme review will be concluded and the loan tranche will be disbursed to Greece.
Amanatidis explained that “what we are seeking for as a government is to outline the medium term measures on the debt,” and added that “short-term measures on the debt are already implemented.”
He said that the following two weeks are critical as political negotiations are being carried out and the government is fighting in order to achieve the best possible scenario.
The Minister underlined that “we want a clear solution” for growth and access to the markets, estimating that all involving parties seek an agreement.
Asked on the possibility of not reaching an agreement at the Eurogroup on June 15, Amanatidis said that “the next stop at institutional level meeting is the EU Summit.”
