“The national Digital Strategic 2016-2021 that we are implementing in the last two years allow us to unlock the prospects of the Greek economy’s development and to lay strong digital foundations for the country” said Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Media minister Nikos Pappas addressing Delphi Economic Forum on Friday.
The minister underlined that “for the first time we have a coordinated effort to implement the digital projects and avoid the mistakes of the past as the fragmentation of the works.
Referring to the new digital reality for the country, Pappas said that the 5 billion-euro investments lead the country to the new digital era.
“We take advantage of the new technologies in a way that will not bring new crises and inequalities but will create social and economic convergences” said Pappas. “We implement horizontal works with main characteristic the interoperability”.
He referred to the digital transformation of the public sector saying that “with the e-transfer document system we transform the public sector”.
Finally, he referred to the digital transformation of the agriculture sector, saying that it will “restructure the primary sector by creating, the first in Europe, public infrastructure of intelligent agriculture with open data”.
