Digital policy minister visits Greek pavilion at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

Greece has potential to plan for its future, beyond the current phase of economic difficulty, Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Media Minister Nikos Pappas said on Monday, visiting the Greek pavilion at the Mobile World Congress trade fair in Barcelona.

He noted that Greece’s presence at the international digital communications exibition was stronger this year, with 25 Greek companies taking part, while the country had an “enviable” labour pool to draw from.

“As we emerge from the crisis it is also acquiring a national plan for utilising new technologies,” Pappas added, pointing out that these technologies can help improve productivity and daily life, while their use was a foundation for making society more functional, fairer and more democratic.
